Where is my data stored?
All your data is stored locally on your device using Apple's Core Data framework. If iCloud is enabled, it syncs across your Apple devices via CloudKit — managed entirely by Apple. Granite Forge Studios has no servers and cannot access your data.
Is Cascade a budgeting app?
No. Cascade is a strategic financial planning tool. It builds an optimized debt payoff and investment roadmap based on your income, debts, savings, and goals. It does not track individual transactions or connect to your bank.
Does Cascade require a subscription?
No. Cascade is a one-time purchase. You buy it once and own it forever, including all future updates. There are no feature gates, trials that expire, or recurring charges.
Can I export my data?
Yes. Cascade lets you export your data in CSV and JSON formats. Exports go directly to a location you choose on your device — we never receive copies.
Which platforms does Cascade support?
Cascade runs natively on macOS 14+, iOS 17+, and iPadOS 17+. Your data syncs across all your Apple devices via iCloud.
Is Cascade financial advice?
No. Cascade is a planning and organizational tool for informational purposes only. Projections are estimates based on your inputs and mathematical models — not guarantees. Always consult a qualified financial advisor before making significant decisions.
How do I sync data between devices?
Make sure you're signed into the same Apple ID on all devices and that iCloud is enabled for Cascade in Settings → [Your Name] → iCloud. Sync happens automatically through Apple's CloudKit.
